Clik here to view.Debonair screen and stage actor Dan Resin has passed away at age 79. Resin suffered from Parkinson’s disease complications resulting to his death.
Resin is best remembered as Mr. Beeper, a country club member in the 1980’s classic golf comedy film “Caddyshack” with Chevy Chase, Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield.
He started his acting career in the 1950’s on stage, with roles in Broadway hits “My Fair Lady” and “Once Upon a Mattress”. Later on he moved to television and commercials with his portrayal of the Ty-D-Bol man. The Ty-D-Bol man character wore a ship captain’s uniform as he sailed through blue waters of a toilet water closet tank. Resin also appeared in other commercials during the peak of his career, making a couple of appearances in Super Bowls.
Resin was born in South Bend, Indiana but was based in Secaucus, New Jersey for almost 50 years. He passed away Friday in Oakland, New Jersey according to his daughter Elizabeth Olynick. Dan Resin is survived by his wife Margaret and his three daughters.
